Right, so the line going up represents emotion (couldn't think of a better word so I've clearly written 'love' on the actual graph) and the horizontal line signifies time, which I have cleverly labelled 'time' :) Along this line are 7 points I want to highlight so I'll get to those in a moment but first along the 'love' line we have
H - hate/heavily dislike
JF - just friends, simple times!
C - crush, nothing more than fancying the guy
F - feelings, more than a crush though shy of being in love
L - love, actually being in love with the guy
So as you can see the graph is an up/down affair, not because it looks better but because of certain events such as these below:
1 - 2006: Dima was the first person I came out to and started to realise I fancy him
2 - 2007: I told Dima for the first time that I 'liked' him, he took an instant dislike to this not knowing how to react so the friendship very nearly just ended
3 - 2008: In this time we had became friends, better friends even and the the crush returned this time developing into feelings as we became closer
4 - 2008: Dima finds out I now have feelings for him but honestly surprises me with his very mature reaction which makes me respect him more which boosted my feelings for him
5 - 2009: Lots of problems in the general social group and partly thanks to ties with other people adverse to Dima all feelings and friendship almost cease
6: Problems clear and I apologise unreservedly for being a dick and friendship/feelings resumed so quickly it came back stronger
6-7 - 2009/2010: We become really close friends and I try to come to terms with my feelings for him realising I may actually be in love with him
Hence the title 'First Love'
Hopefully this graph and my explanation aren't too confusing!! I thought it made for a nice illustration :) Scarily though it appears everytime we fall out my feelings come back twice as strong... here's hoping history doesn't repeat itself!
